The York River watershed covers 2669 square miles of Virginia. Orange, Spotsylvania, Louisa, Caroline, King William, Albemarle, Fluvanna, Gloucester, Goochland, Hanover, James City, King and Queen, King William, and York Counties make up the drainage area of the York River.  The York River Flows into the Chesapeake Bay (Virginia DCR)
